I may be jumping to the gun by writing this post after only one day but after 3 years of on and off again pain due to plantar fasciitis, I was able to step out of bed this morning COMPLETELY PAIN FREE! I'm not saying one night in this night cast solved all my problems, I will continue to wear this cast if I know the feeling I had this morning stepping down will continue. I will repeat some other things that satisfied customers did note, if you have the cast on too tight, your body will respond.. I also got shooting pains up my leg which was just a warning, I loosened the straps and they were gone. Also, it does take a few tries to get this bad boy on right. The strap that goes around your foot, it's not permanently secured there, I took it off and moved it to the highest velcro (see picture) patch and it fit perfectly. I am also a stomach sleeper and this did not get in the way of that. My biggest thing is don't be discouraged if you can't get it to fit right away, mess around with it, you will be SO glad you did.

Futuro Plantar Fasciitis Sleep Support
*UPDATE after about a month or so: This thing is poorly made. The adhesive material is total junk, the straps are constantly falling off. It really did help me the first week but then it seemed as though the straps were stretched out and it did nothing for support. On to the next thing..

Futuro Plantar Fasciitis Sleep Support
My heel has been killing me. I have tried other braces, and they simply did not work. This brace is backwards from most braces. The plastic support is on top of your foot, not under it. So, it "pulls" your foot gently up, and into the recommended right-angle position, rather that "forcing" your foot by pulling it up from underneath

Futuro Plantar Fasciitis Sleep Support
It took a coupe of nights to figure out how to put it on. Start with the toes strap, and wrap it firmly around your "arch." Then pull the ankle part of the back against your leg and secure it with the Velcro strap. Its the second strap that rocks your foot into position, without stress, and the support under the arch really helps.

I sleep with this brace, and never notice it, not even when I roll over and cross me feet against each other.

Futuro Knee Length Stockings Anti-Embolism

I wear compression socks daily, so comfort, support, and durability are very important to me. These stockings are very durable and easy to launder, but not as comfortable as other brands that I own. The material is a bit rough, but my biggest complaint is the fit.

Futuro Knee Length Stockings Anti-Embolism
There is no proper place for the heel, just a rectangular reinforced area that presumably fits along the achilles tendon, so I end up with a small amount of extra material around my ankles that I have to find a way to distribute.

Futuro Knee Length Stockings Anti-Embolism
The toe area is also a bit baggy, and I don't like that the material there is thinner than the rest of the sock; however, I do like that it doesn't squeeze my toes. I find that they stay in place well, and provide good support, but are just not as comfortable as my other socks. In addition, these socks are considerably more expensive than the other stockings I have.

Have bought multiple pairs Futuro Open Toe

Have bought multiple pairs Futuro Open Toe

Won't bore readers with the medical details but the swelling in my legs, esp. the left one truly began to impact my life in such a negative way. I would turn down invitations, specifically map out my day to not include too many trips to the store or limit time on my feet. The thought of airline travel gave me such anxiety because I knew for the first few days of any trip I'd have to be in a compression machine.

Have bought multiple pairs Futuro Open Toe

I don't know what the physical difference of the material is with this Futuro but it has made all the difference for me. My ankles, calves and legs stay slender and the pain is reduced so much I don't want to take them off at night. I bought extras for myself and a pair for a friend who works at a desk 8-10 hours a day. She said the sitting is terrible for circulation and these have helped her a lot. They run true to size if not a little generous/ remember they need to fit firmly to work. I wear a size 14 pants and take a medium in this product.

Futuro Futuro Energizing Wrist Support Right Hand, Large

  • Provides energizing compression and support
  • Helps relieve carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms
  • Low cut, ergonomic shape allows free hand movement for typing, writing, etc.

If you suddenly find your hands crippled, as I did, and you don't believe that Osteoarthritis can knock you down quite that quickly, then you might want to consider wearing wrist braces such as this one to help keep your wrists supported at night, reducing the pain and discomfort of CTS.

After my doctor diagnosed my problem, I was sent out to search for wrist braces for both my wrists, and that is not an easy thing to find in my small town. The single old-time drug store in my town had a variety of braces, and the Futuro ones were by far the most comfortable. They are soft neoprene (think wet-suit material), with no rubbing edges. The first time you put them on, there are a couple of simple Velcro adjustments to make (for size), and then you can slip them off and one like a glove, with one Velcroed strap to tighten them.

The store had other braces, but many required multiple adjustments every time you put them on, and had rough seams that I knew would be uncomfortable while sleeping.

These come in S/M and L/XL, with right or left-handedness. My hands measure about 6.75 inches around the knuckles, and I found that the L/XL was most comfortable. (With smaller hands, you will need to go down.) The store I visited had only a left hand in this size, so I was delighted to find the right hand on Amazon, and for half the price.

Futuro Futuro Restoring Dress Socks for Men, Black, Large, Firm

When I saw these on the Amazon Vine selection I immediately thought of my father. He is 87 years old and has a lot of issues with his legs. I really didn't think they would make that much difference with his poor swollen ankles and varicose vein legs but was I ever wrong. Dad said they were amazing! He didn't want to take them off and even slept in them. He said his ankles didn't swell as much and they felt like they messaged his legs. We finally got him to take them off to be washed, but we put them back on as soon as they were dry. I certainly know one thing he will get for Christmas....more of these socks! There is only one little problem we ran into....getting them on his feet and legs! It took my mother and my sister both to get them on while I was watching and laughing......we almost gave up, but it was worth the effort to know how much they helped Dad. Definitely 5 huge stars.

Learn English or Spanish? Which Is Easier? How to Say I'm In Love in Spanish

Learn English or Spanish? Which Is Easier? How to Say I'm In Love in Spanish

This record may be of interest to anyone who wants to learn English or Spanish. By the way, today you will also learn how to say "I am in love" in Spanish and how to say "love at first sight" in Spanish. I always get into friendly debates here in Colombia about which language easier to learn: English for Latinos or Spanish for Gringos. Of course, I insist that it is easier for us Gringos to learn Spanish. You may be mental "Gee, Patrick, What a Patriot!"

Learn English or Spanish? Which Is Easier? How to Say I'm In Love in Spanish

Learn English or Spanish? Which Is Easier? How to Say I'm In Love in Spanish

Well, the suspect why I insist that it is easier to learn Spanish is because I precisely believe it. I will tell you why. But first, I want to give you the Latin American side of the argument.

Many native Spanish speakers have told me that it is easier to learn English than Spanish because Spanish has so many more words. I can attest to that. The Spanish language by all means; of course has a lot more words than the English language. I know any English grammarian would strongly disagree with me. But they have probably never lived in a Latin American country.

And I am not just talking about the way that Spanish speakers in one country will use words and phrases which are distinct from the words and phrases that Spanish speakers use in someone else country.

Within the same country you will hear Spanish speakers use distinct words and phrases for the same things. But what I find so surprising is that in the Spanish language there are nouns, verbs and adjectives for words where in English we were only blessed with a noun.

Por ejemplo...

Take the Spanish noun "flecha" which means the English word "arrow." In Spanish, not only is there a noun for this word but there's also a verb: flechar

The Spanish verb "flechar" precisely has two meanings:

1.) to injure with arrows
2.) to cause to fall in love

The second definition obviously originates from the story of Cupid. You know, the mischievous, winged child from Roman mythology who was armed with a bow and some arrows. He's the one who was famous for piercing hearts.

Arguably, you can use "arrow" in English as a verb. But that's not how the word "arrow" is usually used in English.

Now think about this...

There are seven simple tenses or moods in Spanish: presente de indicativo, imperfecto de indicativo, pretérito, futuro, potencial simple, presente de subjunctivo, imperfecto de subjunctivo.

And there are seven blend tenses or moods in Spanish: perfecto de indicativo, pluscuamperfecto de indicativo, pretérito anterior, futuro perfecto, potencial compuesto, perfecto de subjunctivo, and pluscuamperfecto de subjunctivo.

So by having a verb for the word "arrow" (flechar), and since there are seven simple tenses and seven blend tenses in Spanish (a total of 14), the Spanish language already has 14 more words than the English language. And 15 if you include the verb "flechar" itself.

And I am just getting started.

Each verb tense has 6 "person" forms:

1. First person single (yo)
2. Second person single (tú )
3. Third person single (usted, él, ella)
4.first person plural (nosotros);
5. Second personal plural (vosotros)

6. Third person plural (ustedes, ellos, etc.).

So if we multiply the 14 tenses time the 6 "person" forms, Spanish already has 84 words that we do not have in English. I am still warming up.

And let's not forget the varied "imperativo" forms: flecha, no fleches, fleche, flechemos, flechen.

Spanish also has other nouns that we don't have in English. Unlike in English, there is a word in Spanish for a injury that was specifically caused by an arrow: flechazo

The word "flechazo" precisely has a more base meaning in Spanish. "Flechazo" also means "enamoramiento súbito" or "love at first sight."

Since there's a verb "flechar" in Spanish, guess what Spanish also has?

You guessed it. There's also an adjective for this word: flechado. Besides the obvious, having to do with an arrow, "flechado" also means to be in love.

There's precisely a favorite song in Spanish called "Flechado EsToy" (I am in love.) And it gets even more complicated. Not only can you say "flechado esToy," you can also say "estoy flechado" in Spanish.

Other than a Shakespearean play, it would sound precisely strange if person said in English "in love I am." And Besides "flechado estoy" or "estoy flechado," person can say "estoy enamorado" in order to say "I am in love."

So that's the side of the discussion that says that it is easier to learn English than Spanish.
